The education wing of the National Museum is headed by a Curator (Education) who looks after all the educational services. While the free guided tours five times a day, screening of educational/art films on art and culture, weekly gallery talks, guidance to the school children and groups of students have become common features, the unit has also started organising seminars, workshops and symposiums for the scholars and academicians.

Special guided tours, illustrated lectures of prominent scholars, and programme for the handicapped children are also arranged from time to time. In addition, a summer course for the school children has become quite popular.
