Whereas Section 5 (1) of the Right to Information Act, 2005
requires every public authority to designate as many
officers as the Central Public Information Officers (CPIO)
as maybe necessary to provide information to persons
requesting for the information under the Act;
2. Curator in charge of each section is hereby designated as
CPIO in respect of subject matters dealt by him / her,
however, in the absence of the incumbent of the post of
Curator of any Section, being vacant or being on leave, the
available officer/official looking after the affairs of that
Section will act as CPIO. Whereas the in-charge of Dr. Zakir
Hussain Memorial Museum, Okhla, New Delhi will be the CPIO
for all matters pertaining to that Museum.
3. In view of this the officers / officials indicated in
Column (2) of the following Table are hereby designated as
CPIOs in respect of the subjects matters / sections in
column (4) of the Table.

And whereas Section 19(1) of the Act provides that any person who does not
receive a decision within the prescribed time or is aggrieved by a decision
of the Central Public Information Officer (CPIO), may prefer an appeal to
such officer who is senior in rank to Central Public Information Officer and
is referred to as First Appellate Authority and in pursuance of the said
section following Officers of National Museum is designated as First
Appellate Authority in respect of the specific subject matter mentioned in
Coloumn No. (4).
